Coming off their third straight Pacific Collegiate Hockey Association title-winning season, the SRJC Polar Bears are ready to cast a new set of champions for the 2015-16 campaign. SRJC will hold its official tryout Aug. 22 at Snoopy’s Home Ice in Santa Rosa. Intended for serious players, the skate is a rigorous audition to determine the Polar Bear’s official season roster. All players must attend a mandatory pre-skate meeting at 9 p.m. inside the Warm Puppy Café. This will allow for an official introduction to the organization and answer any questions for new and returning players. A 10:15 p.m. ice time immediately follows.
Cost to participate is $20 cash or check, and all players need to bring a copy of their Fall 2015 SRJC class schedule and previous SRJC grades, if applicable. The team encourages all interested parties to tryout and help SRJC accomplish its goals this season. “Our organization expects a sizeable number of very talented players joining our club this month. We also expect a handful of developmental players for the upcoming season. Both of whom we are very excited to have join us for the 2015-2016 campaign,” said General Manager Tom Billeter. “Our schedule sets up nicely for a run to the [American Collegiate Hockey Association] regional tournament, and we expect to repeat as PCHA champions; that's where our sights are set this preseason.” |
