SRJC Polar Bears Cancer Awareness Night - October 19th

​Come honor the fight for cancer with the Santa Rosa Polar Bears who will host the UC Santa Cruz Banana Slugs.  This is a collective event sponsored by many sports in October to help raise awareness and funds for this devastating disease.  ​

Lavender/Purple signals a focus on all forms of cancer and you will see our Polar Bears sport this color on their sticks during this game. Come dressed in lavender or purple for our game.

Fans will be greeted by the American Cancer Society who will generously donate pink tokens highlighting cancer awareness for our attendees. There will be a donation bin for offerings to the fight.  Be ready to bring names of loved ones you wish to honor on our flyers as well as song dedications. 

In addition to our focus on cancer awareness, our Polar Bears will sponsor a goalie contest for shots blocked.  We will keep track of the cumulative shots blocked by both teams’ goalies, and the SRJC Polar Bears will donate per number of blocked shots to the American Cancer Society.
