On Saturday, December 21st, the Polar Bears Hockey Team rose early to volunteer at the Secret Santa headquarters inside the Press Democrat building downtown Santa Rosa. This annual county event brings together countless numbers of volunteers and sponsors to present 20,000 or more gift requests. Our team has volunteered to help process gifts for several years.
"It leaves you with a good feeling to help out," said defenseman David Guido. The team helped agencies load gifts which they will take to fulfill the Christmas wishes of many families. We encourage all of our fans to look for the Secret Santa hearts on giving trees each Christmas season and give if you can to this worthy cause. The SRJC hockey team wishes you and yours a wonderful holiday season! The boys will be back on the ice at home on January 24th at 9:15PM against Stanford. It will be First Responders Night. Come dressed in red or blue to honor our emergency agencies. Admission is free. We hope to see you there! |
