The SRJC Polar Bears have just released their 2012-2013 season schedule, packed with marquee names and accomplished opponents, this season is bound to be a memorable one for Polar Bear fans. The Polar Bears have 15 home and 15 away games schedule totaling for a record 30 game season. The Polar Bears will open their 3rd hockey season at Snoopy’s Home Ice when they host UC Berkeley on September 14 at 8:30pm. This will be the 3rd time in a row that the Polar Bears will open their season at home against UC Berkeley. On September 28 the Polar Bears will travel to Colorado where they will play 2 tough teams in 2 days: Colorado University and Colorado State University. The Polar Bears ended Colorado University’s season early when they upset them in the 2012 ACHA Pacific Regional Tournament. The Polar Bears will return to California for 4 games then pack their bags and head to Boise Idaho for 3 games in 3 days against Brigam State University, Boise State University, and Western Washington. With eight tough games in the first six weeks of the season, the Polar Bears have a golden opportunity to prove themselves as a pacific powerhouse before hosting their second annual tournament in early-November. The Wine Country Collegiate Classic will showcase the talents from the Sacramento State University, Metro State University at Denver, Northern Arizona University, and the Santa Rosa Junior College Polar Bears. The Polar Bears will round out the season when they play San Jose States’ Highly accomplished DII team and Santa Clara University.
