ACHA hockey for the SRJC is gearing up for another competitive season. Unfortunately, the 2020-2021 season is on hold for the fall. Head Coach Jackson Waldron and Team President Angus Brodeur have decided to reschedule games beginning in January, however this is also subject to change as the pandemic crisis fluctuates.
COVID-19 has limited the fall season for most, if not all, of the west coast teams. Safety is the main concern for players, coaches, staff, and fans. The Polar Bears will continue to monitor conditions until there is a general consensus that it is safe for teams to return to the ice. "It's disappointing that we can't get together on the ice," says Brodeur. "We have a great group of players ready to go. We are hopeful we can play in January, but for right now, it's the right thing to do." As information becomes available, the team will update the fans as to when play will resume. Hopefully, this will include games in front of the fans, as that is the best part of the season! |
