The 2014-15 season is chalk full of marquee matchups and high-stakes games. With many of these key contests outside the comfy confines of Snoopy’s Home Ice, the SRJC Polar Bears need to figure out only one thing before they head out of the road: how fans can come along for the ride?

From today until noon Sept. 20, SRJC asks fans to participate in an online survey to find out how the team can keep fans tuned in from the first puck drop to the last. The nine-question survey asks fans about what types of content they’d like to see, how they would like to be updated, and how SRJC can improve fan experience as a whole.

As a thank you for taking the survey, participants are automatically entered to win a $25 Visa Gift Card. A winner will be chosen at random prior to SRJC Hockey’s home opener on Sept. 20. The winner will be announced via the team’s Facebook page and emailed instructions on how/when to pick up the reward.

Saturday's Santa Rosa Junior College Ice hockey game vs UC Santa Barbara has been cancelled due to undisclosed reasons from UC Santa Barbaras management team.  

The Santa Rosa Junior College Polar Bears are in the process of setting up a scrimmage to replace the 8:30pm October 19th game but nothing has been officially announced by the team.

The Santa Rosa Junior College Ice Hockey Team reached the one thousand Facebook fan mark Saturday – making the SRJC Ice Hockey team only the third ACHA Ice hockey team in the pacific region to reach that level.

As of Tuesday morning, the SRJC Hockey Team had 1,009 fans who had “liked” them on Facebook. The only ACHA teams with more Facebook fans in California are University of Southern California with 1,590 and San Jose State University with 1,050. 

For context, Fresno State University, College of the Canyons, Sacramento State, and University of California, Los Angeles all have less then 500 Facebook fans.

As part of their ongoing commitment to the continued growth of ice hockey in California, the SRJC Ice Hockey Team uses social media platforms like Facebook to help spread the word of local ice hockey to the members of their community.
