The Polar Bears find themselves in an interesting position with back-to-back-to back games this weekend, taking on three different competitors in exactly 36 hours. With the Sunday finale at 7:30 a.m. against UC Santa Cruz — a mere six hours after their Saturday game in San Francisco— players and fans alike will need somewhere to go to wind down after all the excitement at Snoopy’s Home Ice. And what better place than at longtime sponsor, Westside Bar and Grill. Join the SRJC Hockey team for some postgame fun at their favorite spot on the corner Marlow and Piner Roads after the game. Westside is serving up possibly the best brunch combo of breakfast sandwiches and burritos, with mimosas and bloody Mary’s to boot. Westside also has a wide variety of delicious foods on their menu, including the best chicken strips and hamburgers in Sonoma County, and 26 taps featuring awesome local micro brews.
With 14 high-definition televisions and a pool table, you can either watch a game or play one! Sunday’s entertainment features the best of the Gridiron with games starting at 10 a.m.. Pick a spot by the bar, or our favorite, the first table on your right as you walk in. The self-dubbed SRJC Hockey table is the best in the joint, with a special shelf decoration that includes our first-ever Pacific Collegiate Hockey Association League trophy, a game-worn bucket and shirt tie. Westside Bar and Grill is one of the best spots in Sonoma County for sports entertainment, and a can’t miss hangout after an early Polar Bears’ game. The fun starts immediately following the SRJC/UCSC match at Snoopy’s. |
